Summary:

Batting: Falcons were put into bat in very windy and lost Rohit early to a seaming ball. Ruchir came in at one down to join Basit. The conditions for batting were tough and both of them took their time to settle in. Basit was in fine touch and was hitting the ball well. With the strong wind boundaries were very tough to hit in front of the wicket. Basit was very composed and confident throughout his stay. After reaching his 50 he raced into his 90's with some powerful hits to the fence. From 90 to 100 he played very sensibly and scored it in 1's and 2's. Basit and Ruchir got out in the 21st over trying to accelerate the scoring rate. The captain walks in and he made batting look easy. Humayun scored a brisk 26 of 15 balls. Chakri (15 not out) and Akash (13 not out) finished off the innings for the Falcons. We put up the best score of the season so far and ended up at 254/6.

Bowling:
Akash and Ayan started the bowling for us. Both of them struggled with consistency and were going at 5-6 an over. Falcons were desperately looking for a break though and Akash gave us two in 9th over. Anjan and Zubair took over from the quickies. Anjan had a rare off day and just managed one wicket. Zubair on the other hand was on fire. He mixed his fast one with faster ones ;) very well and ended up with 4 wickets in 5 overs. Other bowlers chipped in and we knocked out ACA in the 28th over for 146.

Good performance over all. We are getting better with each outing.

Ruchir.
Eagles won the toss and decided to bat on a very windy day. Amit D and Prathamesh opened the innings scoring about 8 rpo.  Eagles lost the first wkt in the 10th over and then lost two more in Amit D, Neeraj and Shafi. After 15 overs Eagles were 94/4 in spot of bother. Divyesh joins Suneet and then we witnessed some fire works from both Suneet and Divyesh. Divyesh kept hitting every other ball to boundry. Suneet kept feeding him the strike and also played some fine shots to score 42.  Divyesh scored at an amazing pace, he ended up with 125 in 42 balls!!! He hit 14 fours and 7 sixes, it was a treat to watch some awesome hitting from him. Ceto also joined the party in the last 2 overs and hit few sixes. Eagles scored 319 in 30 overs loosing 7 wkts.

It was a one sided affair once Eagles had put up a huge score on the board. Sanjay picked up Islam in the first 5 overs. Prathamesh and Shafi also picked up 3 wkts each. RRCC were never in the game, they ended up with 155 in 26 overs.  Divyesh was awarded MOM.

Cheers,
Hemant

Titans 155/8 (Majad 2/31, Amit 2/24, Sam 2/20, Rohan 1/22)
Hawks 157/4 (Sam 31, Rohan 30, Amit 27 no, Majad 21 no) - Sam Puthur MOM

Hawks Fielding:
Hawks won the toss and decided to field in overcast condition. Majad struck with the 3rd ball. Majad continued to bowl well. Couple of chances went begging in his 4th over but a sharp catch helped him get his second wicket. Despite the early wickets, Titans had a good partnership going. Amit came into the attack and got one of the set batsman in the 15th over with a beautiful arm ball. Sam was introduced in the 16th over and immediately struck. Amit and Sam kept the scoreboard in check and got a wicket each. Rohan bowled well - but was unlucky to get just one wicket.

Hawks Batting:
Hawks lost one of their opener in the 2nd over - but did not loose the momentum. Rohan and Sam continued to attack the bowling and was 67/1 in the 9th over when Rohan fell. Sam got out immediately (as is always the case). Within 5 runs, Satyajit got out to a dubious call (later, opponent captain acknowledged). Majad joined Amit and both buckled down. By the 15 over break, Hawks were 109/4. Majad and Amit finished the game in the 24th over without allowing the opponent any chance.

Sam became Man of the Match for the 2nd time (both for winning causes) for scoring 31 and taking two wickets - Congrats Sam! Keep up the great work!

Overall, a good game. Ground fielding was decent. Catching needs improvement. Good support by all.
